Grimwood Insurance Agency is a family-owned business in continuous operation since 1956. It was founded by Mr. & Mrs. William O. Grimwood. Mrs. Grimwood had been an agent with a direct writer insurance company since 1947.

In 1979, their son Bill took over the agency, with his father as consultant until retirement in 1995. Today, Bill and his wife Faye own the Grimwood agency. Their daughter Susanne began working with the agency in 1987 and later their daughter-in-law, Truejoy, joined the family business in 1997.

Grimwood Insurance is a medium-sized agency serving the Northern Alabama and Southern Tennessee area. We offer a wide variety of personal and commercial coverage including automobile, homeowners, fire, and life. In the commercial area, we write most every line of business, but we specialize in Used Auto Dealers and Garages. We represent many financially sound, national and regional companies and offer ample brokerage capability.
